Avocado Brownies

The Fudgiest Brownies You Will Ever Taste

I know for most the idea of avocado brownies sounds disgusting, but TRUST me these are so delicious! You can’t taste the avocado and instead it creates the best fudgy texture.

Avocados are also a super good source of healthy fats. If anyone in your life refuses to eat avocados give them these and they will never know!

I especially love this recipe because everything is added to a blender so there isn’t a huge mess to clean. Also, it is pretty allergen friendly. The recipe is grain free, gluten free, dairy free, and egg free.

I love making a batch of these and storing them in my freezer. They last for a very long time in the freezer. They are perfect for when you are craving something sweet.

Trust me these brownies taste so decadent you would never know they are made with healthier ingredients. I have also added walnuts and that tastes super yummy as well.

Make sure your avocado is ripe. Once its ripe that’s when it creates the fudgy texture.

For this recipe you are adding chocolate chips to the batter as well as adding melted chocolate on top once it’s done baking. This is why, there are two different measurements for chocolate in the recipe.

Sugar: any granulated sugar will work. I used coconut sugar in this recipe.

Almond butter: I prefer almond butter, so it doesn’t overpower the other flavors. Any nut or seed butter will work.

Almond milk: any nondairy milk will work in this recipe.

Vegan yogurt: I would recommend either a vanilla or just a plain unsweetened yogurt in this recipe. You don’t want the yogurt to overpower the whole recipe.

Cacao powder: cocoa powder also works.

Chocolate chips: you can use any chocolate chips you prefer. You could also chop a chocolate bar instead.

I would NOT recommend substituting the almond flour. If you really want to try another flour, the closest option would be oat flour.

 Ingredients:

  • Avocado

  • Sugar

  • Almond butter

  • Almond milk

  • Vegan yogurt

  • Baking powder

  • Cacao powder

  • Almond flour

  • Chocolate chips

Recipe:

  • 1 avocado

  • 1/3 cup sugar

  • 1/3 cup almond butter

  • ¼ cup almond milk

  • ¼ cup yogurt

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/3 cup cacao powder

  • 2/3 cup almond flour

  • ½ cup chocolate chips

  • ½ cup melted chocolate (for topping)

Directions:

1.    Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

2.    Line a 9x5 baking pan with parchment paper or cooking spray.

3.    In a blender add the avocado, sugar, almond butter, almond milk, and yogurt.

4.    Blend until combined.

5.    Add in the baking powder, cacao powder, and almond flour.

6.    Blend again until combined.

7.    Fold in the chocolate chips.

8.    Add to baking pan.

9.    Bake for 42-45 minutes.

10.Once the brownies are cooled, add the melted chocolate on top.

You can allow the chocolate on top to harden or just eat as it is.

Store these in an airtight container in the refrigerator. You can also store them in the freezer if you want them to last longer.
