No Bake High Protein Caramel Chocolate Bites

High Protein Candy Bites Everyone Will Love

These bites taste like the most decadent treat ever, meanwhile they are made with healthier ingredients and have extra added protein! With just a small total of six ingredients you can have these bites in your hands.

They make the perfect quick snack, dessert, or even a pre workout. Not only do they taste delicious, but they are no bake meaning on those days when you are feeling super lazy and don’t want to turn your oven on, these are for you!

No bake recipes come together super quickly, the only waiting time is while they are chilling in the freezer. Trust me on those days when you are craving something sweet, knowing these are in your freezer will be the best. Especially summertime, they taste like an ice cream bar and no one would know they are made with healthier ingredients AND vegan! These will impress anyone you give them to.

Ingredients

  • Maple syrup

  • Almond butter

  • Cacao powder

  • Dates

  • Protein powder

  • Chocolate

The middle caramel layer is made with one of my favorite ingredients to bake with dates! If you haven’t tried a date or baking with them, you definitely should. They are a super versatile ingredient and are super naturally sweet, so no need for extra sugar. Dates are considered a superfood and are packed with vitamins, antioxidants, and numerous health benefits. They are especially perfect in recipes like these that are no bake.

Recipe

Base:

  • 1/3 cup maple syrup

  • 1/2 cup almond butter

  • 1/3 cup cacao powder

  • 1/4 cup protein powder (I used a plant-based vanilla one)

  • Middle:

  • 6-8 large dates

  • 1 scoop protein powder of choice (I recommended vanilla, any works)

  • Top:

  • 1 cup of melted chocolate

Directions

  1. Start by adding your dates to a bowl with boiling water. Make sure to add enough water so the dates are submerged in it.

  2. In a separate bowl, add maple syrup, almond butter, and mix well.

  3. Add in cacao powder.

  4. Stir well and once combined add to a 9x5 baking tray.

  5. Place in the freezer.

  6. Leave about a tablespoon of water with the dates, and drain the rest.

  7. Mash until a paste forms (I mash mine with a fork).

  8. Add on top of the base from the freezer.

  9. Place back in the freezer for an hour.

  10. After an hour add the melted chocolate on top and let it harden.

  11. Once hardened, cut into slices and enjoy!

When you can eat candy that also has added protein it's a win! I always have this recipe in my freezer for when I’m craving something sweet. It's the best.
