The Easiest Two Ingredient Banana Oat Cookies

When You Want A Cookie But Only Have Bananas + Oats

You will not find better or easier cookies than these 2 ingredient ones! They are extremely versatile in the options of things you can add on and make the absolute perfect snack/breakfast/dessert paired with nut butter.

If you are someone who likes to meal prep, these would be the perfect thing to do. They take less than 20 minutes to prepare and bake. These cookies are super convenient and easily can be taken on the go as well.

The only 2 ingredients in this recipe are bananas and rolled oats.

Make sure when making this recipe your bananas are as ripe as possible. This will give you the best tasting flavor, as the riper they are the sweeter they are.

TIP: If you want to make this recipe and your bananas aren’t ripe, you can place them in the oven at 300 degrees Fahrenheit and bake them until they turn black. Let them cool and they work perfectly in this recipe or any that calls for ripe bananas!

These are seriously so simple and such a satiating snack. The fiber from both the banana and oats helps to keep you full for longer. Especially, when adding nut butter, you get the extra healthy fats to make it an even better quick breakfast or snack.

Almond butter is what I prefer, however, obviously any nut or seed butter will work.

If you aren’t a huge fan of bananas, you can also use pumpkin puree and make them fall inspired. If you go with this method, I recommend adding a little sweetener as you won’t have the bananas to sweeten with. Maple syrup or coconut sugar would work in this case to keep it refined sugar-free.

Recipe

  • 3 bananas

  • 1 and 1/3 cup rolled oats

My favorite part is customizing them to your liking. You can add literally anything you want. I love adding cinnamon and raisins. Adding chocolate chips also tastes super good. I definitely recommended adding chocolate, raisins, nuts, coconut, the list goes on.

Directions

  1. In a bowl, add the bananas and mash.

  2. Stir in the oats.

  3. Add in whatever you want (chocolate, raisins, etc.)

  4. Add to a cookie tray.

  5. Press down and form into patty shapes.

  6. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 9 minutes.

Make sure to allow them to fully cool before removing from the tray and eating. I recommended 20-30 minutes.

Now you have the easiest recipe ever for when you are craving a cookie that takes hardly anytime and only requires two ingredients!
