Copycat Crumble Cookies Vegan Twix Edition
Twix But In Cookie Form AND Vegan + Gluten-Free!
A few months ago, on Tik Tok when everyone and their mother was posting Crumbl Cookie reviews I felt so left out and wanted to try them so bad. They are far from vegan, so I knew I had to recreate them on my own.
Specifically, the Twix one caught my eye and sounded and looked so delicious. My recipe is 100% vegan, grain-free, and refined sugar-free. I’ve made this recipe numerous times since creating it and it’s so good every time. If you want a vegan version of the cookie or just don’t have a Crumbl Cookie nearby you have to try this recipe.
The cookie is made with just four simple ingredients that are pretty accessible to most. The flour I used in this recipe is almond flour. If you don’t currently have almond flour but want to try to start baking with it I would recommend buying the Blue Diamond brand from Amazon. It is by far the cheapest brand I have seen for how large the bag is.
For the caramel layer I used dates. Always make sure to soak your dates in hot water before using them. This will make it way easier to mash or blend into a paste. I love using dates as the caramel part as they are naturally sweetened and create the perfect texture. Medjool dates are my favorite to use but any will work.
Ingredients
Almond flour
Baking powder
Apple sauce
Maple syrup
Dates
Vegan chocolate
Recipe
7-8 large dates
1 cup vegan melted chocolate
Directions
Start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Line a cookie tray with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl add the almond flour and baking powder.
Mix well.
Add in the applesauce and maple syrup.
Stir until a dough forms.
Using a cookie scoop, scoop the dough onto the tray and press flat.
Bake for 10 minutes.
For the caramel, mash the dates with a fork or blend until a paste forms (make sure you soaked them in hot water so they mash easier).
Add the caramel on top of the cookie.
Let set in the fridge for an hour.
Take out and add a layer of melted chocolate.
Let chocolate harden and enjoy
After this recipe you'll never have to worry about missing out on not being able to try the real thing. I hope you all love this recipe.
