Orange Cream Sugar Cookies

Orange Cream Sugar Cookies

The Fresh Taste of Fluffy Orange Cookies

Nothing reminds me more of spring and summer time than fresh fruit. I had some leftover oranges and decided these cookies had to be made, and wow. These cookies turned out so delicious!

The orange flavor isn’t too overpowering at all. It’s just the right amount of sweetness and freshness. In this recipe I used a naval orange.

If you have never tried a naval orange, you have to. By far the best type of orange and it tastes so delicious in this recipe.

One of my favorite parts about this recipe is that it is a small batch recipe. This means this recipe only makes two large cookies. This is perfect for when you are craving cookies but don’t feel like making a huge batch.

Small batch recipes also mean way less clean up. Everything in this recipe can just be added to one bowl. You also don’t have to chill the dough, so your cookies are ready even sooner.

Not to mention, the cookies take less than 10 minutes to bake.

Vegan butter: I prefer to use the brand Earth Balance when baking. Any vegan butter will work. You could also use oil if you prefer that.

Sugar: for all my sugar cookie recipes I normally use white sugar or monk fruit. Any granulated sugar will work. Keep in mind, if you use brown sugar or coconut sugar it will change the color of your cookies.

I always get countless questions about the frosting I use. Typically, I go the lazy way and don’t make frosting homemade. Almost all store’s bought frostings are vegan. Just make sure to always check the label.

If you want a homemade frosting, there are tons of vegan frosting options online!

In my opinion, these cookies taste the best once they have chilled. After I add the frosting, I like to put mine in the refrigerator for around 30 minutes and then eat them. The frosting gets a little hardened and the cookies gets a little firmer.
