Chocolate Glazed Donuts
Delicious Twist on a Classic Treat
Who doesn’t love a fresh, warm donut? The irresistible aroma, the melt-in-your-mouth texture — they’re the ultimate indulgence. But sometimes, we crave a lighter version that satisfies that sweet tooth without the guilt. Enter these bakedchocolate glazed donuts. Not only are they healthier, but they’re also quick and easy to make, so you can enjoy a tasty treat in just about 20 minutes.
Unlike traditional donuts, which are deep-fried, these baked beauties give you all the flavor without the excess oil. The recipe uses simple, wholesome ingredients like applesauce and almond flour, which help keep the texture moist and light. Plus, instead of refined sugar, they’re sweetened naturally with maple syrup, offering a touch of sweetness that’s both delicious and nutritious.
The best part? The glaze is completely optional. If you want to keep things light and lower the sugar or calorie content, you can easily substitute powdered monk fruit for the glaze. It’s a great way to enjoy the sweetness of a chocolate donut without the extra sugar. Of course, feel free to drizzle the glaze on top for a bit of extra sweetness!
For a little extra chocolatey goodness, you can add in chocolate chips, but that’s entirely up to you. It’s the perfect way to make these donuts even more irresistible if you’re feeling extra indulgent.
One of my favorite tips is to use a silicone donut pan. It makes the whole process a breeze! You don’t even need to grease it, and the donuts pop out effortlessly once they’re baked. Plus, the pan ensures even cooking, giving you perfectly shaped donuts every time.
These donuts are ready in under 20 minutes, making them the ideal option for a quick breakfast, snack, or treat. Whether you're looking for a healthier donut alternative or just something deliciously easy to make, these baked chocolate glazed donuts are a must-try!
