Double Chocolate Fudgy Vegan Brownies
The Fudgiest, Richest, Double Chocolate Brownies Ever
One of my all-time favorite desserts will always be brownies. They must be fudgy and not dry or crumbly. That is exactly what these are. They are so so good, better than I thought they would turn out.
You would never guess that these are vegan, refined sugar-free, and grain-free. Everything comes together in one bowl, so it’s not a super messy recipe to make. If you are a brownie lover these are a must try.
I love pairing mine with vanilla frosting. I use store-bought vegan frosting. Absolutely any frosting at all will work and taste delicious. If you aren’t a fan of frosting, they obviously taste just as delicious plain or with a scoop of ice cream.
One of my favorite ways to get ultra-fudgy brownies is using applesauce. Applesauce replaces oil or butter and makes the brownies a little healthier. I would really recommend not substituting the applesauce for anything else.
When it comes to almond milk, any milk can be substituted depending on what you have and your preference.
The same goes for the almond butter. Any nut or seed butter will work. Make sure it is runny, and not super chunky.
I prefer using maple syrup as my liquid sweetener of choice. Agave should work just as well. Make sure to not substitute granulated sugar, as they will change the texture. Granulated sugar includes brown sugar, white sugar, coconut sugar, etc.
